Benjamin Franklin said a penny saved is a penny earned?

Question from Alexis RAlexis R Asks: 1.) Benjamin Franklin said a penny saved is a penny earned. Is that still correct today and what are the implications?

2.) Suppose someone was going to hire you to do an extremely important job for them. The work would only last for 30 days. Because of your special skills, you will be paid $50,000. As an afterthought, your prospective employer offers to pay you a penny a day doubled ...
Answer: 1) sure it is. think of how the banks these days are doing that "keep the change" thing, where the purchases are rounded up to the dollar and the change goes to ur savings. it all adds up, showing that even pennies make a big difference.

2) definitely the second one. the penny doubled for every day. it ends up in the trillions. try it on a calculator.
