Each of these markets has a need for new employees and produces several openings per year.

California is the largest state in the United States in terms of population. The state is also the source of the highest number of open jobs at any point in time. As of the 4th quarter of 2009, over 16 Million people worked in California and over 38 Million called it home. Most of these 38 Million people are school aged and do not contribute to the work force. This huge number of students and people in general equates to an equally large number of jobs and a demand for workers to do almost any task.

Between now and 2016 the number of employed people is expected to grow to more than 19 Million. For the next seven years, that means an average of 640,000 new jobs will be created.
